A few exciting new features contribute to the new experience in Yammer including Groups now renamed to Communities. Admins are also able to customise the “All Company” community by renaming it, and are able to add a custom cover photo and avatar to suit their community needs.
Within Communities, users are able to share relevant questions, give praise and share polls as announcements to notify the members part of the community. For important information, admins have the option to pin an announcement to the top of the page.
Events
Users are also able to discover past, current, and new live streaming events within the All Company community.

Yammer Communities Mobile
The new Yammer Communities app from Microsoft helps put a focus on first-line workers.
The new interactive app brings Yammer communities and conversations into the Teams app. With Microsoft’s Communities app, users can access critical messages, safety alerts, and live events in one place without the need to switch back and forth.
This is especially helpful for firstline workers who mostly work and communicate via their smartphones.

To install the Communities app on Teams, navigate to Apps on Teams, and search for Communities.

Policy Packages for Firstline Workers
Policy packages to manage and organise firstline workers in Microsoft Teams is now available.
The policy package is a collection of predefined policies and settings. It includes messaging, meetings, or live events which admins can customise and apply to a group of users that share similar roles in your company.
These policy packages can help simplify and centralise managing policies and groups. The new policy packages are available by default in the Teams admin centre.
Shifts
Audit Logs
In addition to support firstline workers, audit logs are available in the Teams app.
What are audit logs?
Audit logs help IT admins by providing a combined view of shift activities including clocking in and out. They can also edit shifts to ensure smooth compliance.
Time Clock
The time clock feature is also now available in the Teams app – on the web and desktop. Time clock allows firstline workers to clock in and out with all the geo-fencing (Geofencing is a service that triggers an action when a device enters a set location.) capabilities, no matter if they’re working remotely or on location.
